Course Prerequisites
To participate in the Lifeguarding (Including Deep Water) course, participants must:
▪ Be at least 15 years old on or before the final scheduled session of the Lifeguarding course.
▪ Successfully complete the two prerequisite swimming skills evaluations:
*Prerequisite 1: Complete a swim-tread-swim sequence without stopping to rest:
▪ Jump into the water and totally submerge, resurface then swim 150 yards using the front
crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both. (Swimming on the back or side is not
permitted. Swim goggles are allowed)
▪ Maintain position at the surface of the water for 2 minutes by treading water using only
the legs
▪ Swim 50 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both
*Prerequisite 2: Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds:
▪ Starting in the water, swim 20 yards. (The face may be in or out of the water. Swim
goggles are not allowed).

This course will prepare you to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults and meets OSHA/workplace requirements. This is a blended learning course including an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class portion and must be taken on a PC or tablet with a high speed Internet connection. Allow approximately 1 hour 5 minutes to complete the online portion. successful completion of this course you will receive a digital certificate for Adult CPR/AED valid for two years.
The Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help victims of any age - adults(about 12 years and older) and pediatric (infants and children up to 12 years of age). Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED valid for two years.

This course requires a PC or tablet with a high speed Internet connection. This course is not supported on smartphones. This course does not work with Internet Explorer. Allow approximately 1 hour 35 minutes to complete the course. This course does not meet OSHA requirements for workplace certification.
The 2019 Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides healthcare providers and public safety professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adult, child and infant patients. Consistent with the 2015 AHA Guidelines for CPR/ECC, BLS is the foundational CPR/AED program typically required for healthcare providers and public safety professionals. Through the use of lecture, skills demonstration, practice and case-based emergency response scenarios with a focus on team-based response, BLS builds the key critical thinking, problem solving, and team dynamic skills that are needed to drive better patient outcomes. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a 2-year Basic Life Support digital certificate with anytime, anywhere access to certificate and training history.
Designed for those who are at risk for on the job exposure to blood and other bodily fluids in the workplace. The course teaches staff how bloodborne pathogens are spread, how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material. This course is one of the requirements of the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard.
